KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery of skeletal remains Monday near Gardner Lake.
A passing motorist spotted the body Monday in a field near West 155th Terrace and Gardner East Road, according to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.
The remains will be taken to the Johnson County Medical Examiner's Office and the county's Crime Lab, where evidence will be processed in hopes of identifying the body and determining a cause of death.
