An event called, Fresh Cut Fresh Start, helped Kansas City kids get ready to go back to school on Sunday.
Started by The Know Joey? Foundation, it gives kids a free haircut, school supplies, health screening and toiletries.
This year’s 9th annual event was held on 18th and Vine in front of the 180V Barber & Salon.
“I’m just trying to live through the little guy and do my part to make sure to give back to my community and make sure I set an example to these young folks and all the people as well, said Joey Thomas, the The Know Joey? Foundation founder.
