KANSAS CITY, Mo. — UPDATE, Aug. 25 | Police located the 62-year-old man dead near the Missouri River.

Officers are now handling the case as a death investigation.

An autopsy is underway by the Jackson County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death.

ORIGINAL STORY | Kansas City, Missouri, police are working to locate a missing man, 62, who was last seen Thursday.

Jun S. Kim was last seen around 4 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at 4701 Deramus Ave. in Kansas City, Missouri.

He is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds.

Kim was wearing a blue hat, white shirt and blue pants, and he had a black backpack with him when he went missing, per KCPD.

Police said his family is worried for his well-being.

Anyone who sees Kim or has information on his whereabouts is urged to call 911 or the KCPD Missing Persons Unit at 816-234-5043.
