The boys are coming back to town, and they’ll bring a few famous friends for the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend.
According to a news release from Big Slick KC, Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, David Koechner and Eric Stonestreet are coming home to help raise money for the Cancer Center at Children’s Mercy Kansas City.
What is Big Slick?
Big Slick started in 2010 as a celebrity poker tournament and party hosted by Riggle, Rudd and Sudeikis to raise money for Children’s Mercy. In 2014, Koechner and Stonestreet became official Big-Slick co-hosts. According to the news release, each year they invite celebrity friends to participate in the weekend.
The news release states Big Slick has donated more than $3.25 million to Children’s Mercy as it approaches its seventh year.
Who's coming to KC?
41 Action News has learned actors Adam Scott, of Parks and Recreation and Step Brothers, and Samm Levine, of Freaks and Geeks and Wet Hot American Summer, are coming to Big Slick Celebrity Weekend 2016!

Big Slick Events
Big Slick 2016 has three big events happening on June 17 and June 18.
The Big Slick “Star Spangled Softball” game
The game will be at Kauffman Stadium at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 17, before the Kansas City Royals take on the Detroit Tigers at 7:15 p.m. Access to the softball game is included for everyone who purchases a regular game ticket. According to the news release from Big Slick KC, with each ticket purchased at http://m.royals.mlb.com/tickets/info/big-slick a $5 donation is made to Royals Charities.
The Big Slick “Red, White and Bowl” bowling tournament
The tournament will be at Pinstripes | Bistro | Bowling| Bocce at Prairiefire at 13500 Nall Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas. It is at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 18. Doors open at 10 a.m., and the public is invited to watch celebrity red carpet arrivals beginning at 9:45 a.m. The news release states space is limited.
The Big Slick “Victory Party and Auction”
This main event will be hosted at the Arvest Bank Theatre at The Midland. The event will be on Saturday, June 18 at 8:15 p.m. The news release said the party will feature games and one-of-a-kind auction items. According to the news release, previous years’ items have included set visits to “Modern Family” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” the premieres of “Ant-Man” and “Horrible Bosses 2,” as well as unique autographed merchandise.
A Big Slick election
You may have seen some campaign signs in town for “Comedy We Can Believe In.” It’s all for the Big Slick weekend.
People can vote for their favorite “candidate” online at http://bigslickkc.org/. According to the news release, voting is tied to donating, and donations earn contributors exclusive Big Slick merchandise such as bumper stickers, campaign buttons, T-shirts, posters and yard signs.
