Kansas City police are investigating a shooting that injured a teenager overnight.
After midnight, Kansas City, Missouri police officers heard numerous shots in the area of 25th and Brooklyn. When officers responded, they located numerous shell casings, baseball bat, hair weave and clothing in the intersection.
Police said officers were dispatched to 10th and Prospect a short time later on a shooting. They located a victim who had suffered a gunshot wound to the arm.
Police said the investigation revealed the shooting occurred at 25th and Brooklyn and started as a fist fight between several juvenile females and several males were present and shots were fired.
