Missing non-verbal woman found safe, Kansas City police say

UPDATE, 5 p.m. 10/17: Mlebinge Edward was found safe at a local hospital, police said Wednesday afternoon.

ORIGINAL | KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police are looking for a missing 29-year-old woman who is non-verbal and intellectually disabled.

Mlebinge Edward was last seen around 7 p.m. Tuesday in the 2600 block of Spruce Avenue. 

Police said Edward, who also suffers from a seizure disorder, will most likely hide. She does not know English and only understands Swahili. 

She is believed to be wearing a yellow T-shirt and dark pants with white splotches that look like paint, police said. 

She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair.
