KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Sports Commission and Foundation is honoring outstanding individuals for their commitment and achievement in sports.
Several notable honorees, including Tyrann Mathieu, Andy Reid and Brett Veach of the Kansas City Chiefs who will be honored in this year’s awards.
Others slated to be honored in the 47th annual awards celebration include Ericka Mattingly from the Kansas City Roos women’s basketball team.
You can watch the awards at 7 p.m. Friday on 41 Action News/KSHB-TV and on digital platforms. You can also watch encore presentations at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 13, also on 41 Action News, and at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 13 on 38 the Spot/KMCI-TV.
41 Action News sports director Mick Shaffer will host this year’s awards.
