KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas Lieutenant Governor Lynn Rogers will be in Olathe Tuesday to talk about medicaid expansion in the state.
The public event will be held at the Olathe Community Center at 1205 E. Kansas City Rd. The event starts at 6 p.m.
Rogers will be joined by Julie Brewer of United Community Services of Johnson County. They will speak about the impact of KanCare on rural hospitals as well as what state officials can do to make sure Kansans get the mental health care they need.
Kansas is among 14 states, including Missouri, that have not expanded medicaid.
