KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a 66-year-old Nebraska man who could be in Kansas.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation issued the alert Monday for Rick L. Kubes, who was last seen on Sunday morning near Clay Center, Kansas.

Kubes was returning to his home in Auburn, Nebraska, when he disappeared. He was last seen wearing a dark, long-sleeve shirt with a dark green windbreaker and blue jeans. He was wearing a red and white ball cap, with red in the front and mesh in the back.

Kubes is 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds, with white hair, a mustache and glasses.

Family members said Kubes was driving a silver 2010 Ford Ranger pickup with a Nebraska sticker on the back window.

The tag on the pickup is a custom Nebraska license plate “KUMFISH.”

Anyone with information about Kubes is asked to call the Clay Center Kansas Police at (785) 632-5601, ext. 5.
