KC Council approves ordiances that enable construction of a convention hotel

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Construction could start in September on a convention center hotel for downtown Kansas City.

The KCMO City Council approved an ordinance Thursday that allows the development group to secure financing for the project.

During a discussion of the ordinance at Thursday's meeting it was revealed the goal is to have the convention center hotel done for the Shriner's convention in 2020.
