KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City native and Denver Broncos linebacker Shane Ray is helping federal workers through the Rays Awareness Foundation.
Saturday, he posted a flier on his Twitter account saying he planned to give away $5,600 worth of Price Chopper gift cards to federal employees who went without pay in Kansas City.

The flier said the first 56 people to email a photo of their federal ID and a copy of their pay stub to info@raysawarenessfoundation.org would receive a $100 gift card.
The number 56 is homage to his jersey number.
Ray played for the University of Missouri before being drafted #23 overall to the Broncos in 2015.
