KC police working two homicides overnight Sunday

Posted

Kansas City homicide detectives are busy working two separate deadly shootings early Sunday morning.

Officers were called by Children's Mercy hospital staff just before 4 a.m. when an adult male victim was dropped off with a gun shot wound.

He was pronounced dead.

Police say it appears there was a disturbance between acquaintances, but they are not saying where the shooting occurred. Police are not searching for a suspect.

About 20 minutes later, at 4:17, another group of officers were called to a report of shots fired at 34th and Park.

There, officers discovered a male victim dead in a driveway.

Police say they don't believe the shootings are related.

No other details have been released and investigations are under way.
