KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department is investigating a fire at the Smuggler's Inn near Interstate 435 and Front Street.
The call came in around 3 a.m. when a passerby saw the fire and called 911.
At this point, no injuries have been reported. KCFD said the restaurant is vacant.
Crews had to immediately fight the fire defensively from an aerial position. The roof collapsed at one point.
The cause remains under investigation.
