KANSA CITY, Mo. — A suspect is in custody after a Kansas City, Kansas, police chase and subsequent standoff in Leawood, Kansas.
Police said KCKPD began chasing the suspect just before 9 p.m. Thursday night because they had a federal warrant from the U.S. Marshals Service.
The vehicle eventually came to a stop near 92nd and Mission, but the suspect refused to get out of the car.
Praire Village police and other neighboring agencies arrived on the scene to help with the incident.
Around 12:30 a.m., the suspect finally got out of the vehicle.
Police said they found a loaded gun and drugs inside.
