KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Kansas man is going to prison for his role in helping move 168 pounds of marijuana to a residence in the 900 block of Riverview.
Felipe Cano-Porras, 32, will spend four years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
The information released by United States Attorney Stephen McAllister of Kansas on Monday stated that police had a residence under surveillance when Cano-Porras and another man came out.
Police found 186 pounds of marijuana, 704 grams of methamphetamine, three firearms and more than $25,000 in cash inside the house.
Cano-Porras admitted they had moved the drugs from another residence to keep police from finding them.
The Drug Enforcement Administration, Kansas City, Kansas Police department and Assistant U.S. Attorney Jared Maag all worked on the case.
