KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating the homicide of an elderly man.
According to police, they received reports of shots fired in the 1300 block of Central Avenue around 7:20 a.m. on March 31.
Officers arrived to find a man, identified as 88-year-old Bernard Matlock, lying on the sidewalk.
He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. He died April 5.
Two suspects have been taken into custody, KCKPD said.
