KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Residents in Kansas City, Missouri, will have altered trash pickup schedules during the holiday season. The city is also adjusting its limit on the number of bags permitted curbside during the week after Christmas.

Residents whose trash is normally picked up on Fridays will have service delayed for Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Trash will be picked up instead on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.

As part of the announcement, KCMO also said residents will be able to put out as many as 12 bags of trash — each weighing 40 pounds or less — during the week of Dec. 26-31.

More information on the city's trash and recycling programs can be found on the KCMO Neighborhoods and Housing Services website.
