KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, firefighters were called shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday to an apartment fire on NW Donovan Drive.
Emergency crews reported heavy smoke showing from both sides of the three-story building.
Fire crews reported using two hand lines in an effort to extinguish the fire.
Shortly before 9:30 a.m., firefighters extinguished the fire that was contained to one apartment. There is some smoke damage throughout the building.
No civilians were injured, but one firefighter suffered a minor injury and will be checked out at an area hospital.
Crews are still investigating the cause, but initial reports indicated the fire was caused by an air fryer.
