KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 22-year-old Kansas City, Missouri, man died after a single-car crash Monday afternoon.

KCPD announced Wednesday that Uziel Navarrete was driving a gold Ford Focus northbound near Manchester Trafficway and Stadium Drive when the vehicle left the road on a curve and struck a railroad bridge support.

The crash occurred shortly after 4 p.m. and Navarrete was the only person in the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died several hours later.

This is the 36th traffic fatality in KCMO in 2020 compared with 25 traffic-related deaths at the same time last year.
