KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police responded Saturday to an "injury-collision" that involved an on-duty officer.
An officer was driving westbound on a marked KCPD Harley Davidson motorcycle with emergency equipment in use, according to police, when a driver in a Honda Accord made a left turn in the officer’s path.
Police said the motorcycle hit the vehicle near the front left door. The officer sustained non-life threatening injuries but required medical attention, according to police.
Officials expect the officer to be released and said the driver of the Honda Accord was not injured.
