KCPD arrests suspect accused of pulling gun on officer

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One man was taken into custody Thursday morning after leading officers on a chase in Kansas City, Missouri, police said.

The chase started just after 8 a.m. after the 27-year-old man allegedly pulled a gun on a uniformed off-duty Kansas City police officer near U.S. 169 and Interstate 29. The officer was in his personal vehicle, police said.

Police chased the man, who was on a motorcycle, until he was involved in a minor crash near North Parvin Road and North Brighton Avenue in the Northland. After a brief pursuit on foot, the man was taken into custody.

No officers were hurt during the incident, police said. The suspect had minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

Charges are pending in the incident.
