UPDATE — Police said later Wednesday morning Smith had been located and is home safe.
PREVIOUS — Kansas City, Missouri, police asked for assistance locating a missing and endangered man Wednesday morning.
KCPD said Dean Smith was last seen Tuesday around 5:30 p.m. near Northwest Oakcrest and North Robinhood.
Police said he is driving a tan 1997 Chevrolet van.
Smith is 96 years old and has dementia. His family is concerned for his welfare.
