KCPD chase tops 100 mph, ends in Lenexa

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A driver refused to stop Sunday for Kansas City, Missouri, police and led officers on a nearly 15-minute chase that crossed the state line before ending in Lenexa.
Officers with the KCPD attempted to pull over a vehicle for traffic violations a few minutes before 8:30 p.m. near 85th Street and Prospect Avenue.
The driver fled, racing through the Grandview Triangle along Interstate 435 into Kansas at speeds well in excess of 100 mph.
The chase eventually ended on I-35 northbound between north of 95th Street and south of 87th Street in Lenexa.
The Kansas Highway Patrol assisted KCPD in the pursuit, which ended at 8:39 p.m.
Two lanes of I-35 north were shut down temporarily as police arrested the driver.
