KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police said their data has been restored to crimereports.com, a service that maps crimes for which a police report was taken.
The two-month outage was a result of technical issues on "both our end and then Motorola Solutions," KCPD wrote in a post on the Nextdoor app.
KCPD apologized for any inconvenience the outage may have presented.
Crimereports.com allows users to "set notifications for when a crime occurs within a certain radius" of an address, police said.
Some residents also find the site useful for finding out why police were in their area.
