KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police are investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday afternoon.
Police responded around 4 p.m. to a reported shooting at East 67th Street and Monroe Avenue and located a man laying on the ground.
EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene, according to police.
On Monday, police identified the victim as 39-year-old Antonio Smith.
Witnesses told police they “heard a disturbance and then located the victim.” They also told police that “several people ran from the location.”
Police still are investigating a cause of death and do not have anyone in custody.
