ORIGINAL STORY | The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department is investigating the city's sixth homicide of 2021 after a woman was shot in the 4500 block of Prospect Avenue.
KCPD officers responding to a shooting call around 2 p.m. on Tuesday found the woman near the intersection of East 45th Street and Prospect Avenue inside a car that was driven to the area.
It is unclear where the shooting actually took place, according to police.
The woman was taken to an area hospital where she later died.
