Missing man with advanced dementia located

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — UPDATE | Shortly after noon Thursday, KCPD said Sanchez had been located, and is safe.

PREVIOUS | Kansas City, Missouri, police are asking for help to locate a missing man with advanced dementia.

Damian Sanchez, 69, was last seen around 6 a.m. Thursday at his home in the 4900 block of East Linwood Boulevard, police said in a news release.

Sanchez speaks with difficulty and has advanced dementia. He is not aware of his personal information and cannot care for himself, police said.

Sanchez wears a hospital bracelet on his wrist that has his name on it. He is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and khaki pants.

Police ask anyone who sees or finds him to call 911 immediately.
