KCPD locates man who escaped St. Luke's Hospital near Plaza

UPDATE, Oct. 21 | KCPD said Mr. Roberts was located.

ORIGINAL STORY, Oct. 20 | Kansas City, Missouri, police are searching for a missing 29-year-old man who escaped from St. Luke's Hospital Tuesday night.

Police said that Joseph Roberts was at the hospital system's Plaza location near 44th Street and Wornall Road, where he was being held for psychiatric evaluation. He was still under the care of EMS when he escaped custody.

Roberts has brown hair and hazel eyes. He stands 6'5" and weighs 350 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, a red shirt, blue jeans and brown boots.

Police said he should be considered dangerous.

A St. Luke's spokesperson said Roberts was not under the care of St. Luke's at the time of the escape.
