KCPD locates missing 9-year-old boy in south Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The search for a missing 9-year-old boy in Kansas City, Missouri, is over.

KCPD announced around 9:30 p.m. that Javion Robert, who was last seen about 5:30 p.m. on Monday in the area of East 99th Street and James A. Reed Road, had been located and was safe.

Police said Javion needs medication, which he didn't have with him.

Javion is 5 feet 1 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds.

He is black with brown hair and eyes.

KCPD said he was wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.
