KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A police spokesperson in Kansas City, Missouri, said one person died and two others were hurt after a shooting near 51st Street and Prospect Avenue late Monday night.

The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Noella Bartley, of Kansas City, Missouri.

He wrote alerting police can save lives, but he stressed police officers need the public's help to accomplish that goal.

According to data from the website , over the past six months there have been no other homicides reported within ten blocks of 51st Street and Prospect Avenue.
