UPDATE — Investigators say the woman spotted in Kearney is not Mollie Tibbetts, according to the AP.
PREVIOUS — KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kearney police said police investigated to a possible sighting of 20-year-old Mollie Tibbetts.
The sighting was reported at a truck stop on July 26. According to a release from police, officers searched the area spoke to witnesses and reviewed video footage.
Tibbetts was last seen near Brooklyn, Iowa on July 18. Her brother dropped her off at her boyfriend's house to dogsit was later spotted jogging but hasn't been seen since.
Kearney police said the sighting was reported to the task force investigating her disappearance.
