KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The southbound lanes of Interstate 35 are closed at Lone Elm in Olathe due to a fatal crash.
Shortly before 12:30 p.m., a vehicle went off the highway and caught fire, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
KHP did not immediately know why the vehicle left the road.
One person died in the crash, and no other injuries have been reported, per KHP.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
