KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Due to the impending winter storm, Kansas Highway Patrol officials will tow vehicles that have been left on the shoulders of highways and interstates.
Removal of vehicles will begin at 6 a.m. Dec. 15. KHP said that abandoned vehicles “inhibit” KDOT’s ability to “completely clear the roadway of snow,” according to a news release.
Troopers and motor-assist technicians will remove vehicles until the snow-removal process is finished.
Those whose vehicles have been town can call *47 to determine where their vehicle was towed. Towing will occur at the owner’s expense.
