KANSAS CITY, Mo. — During the last 48 hours, the University of Kansas Hospital said it has treated seven people for fireworks-related injuries.

The hospital said four of the seven people were admitted to the hospital, including one patient listed as 2 years-old, in a release Friday.

The most common injuries were to people's hands and eyes.

Mortar rounds and sparklers were the most common source of the injuries.
