CLAY COUNTY, Mo. - A 25-year-old Lathrop man died Saturday night, after a single car crash on Highway 33 and Route CC in Clay County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says Jesse A. Walker, 25 of Lathrop died when he was thrown from a 2004 Dodge Neon after failing to negotiate a curve and hitting a tree about 8:40 p.m.
Walker was not wearing his seat belt.
Koty Walker, 25, a passenger in the car, suffered moderate injuries in the crash.
The highway was shut down for a time while the investigation got underway.
No word on what caused the crash.
