KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Lawrence woman died Monday after she became trapped under her car, according to the Lawrence Police Department.
Shortly after 11 a.m., officers responded to reports that a person might have been trapped under their vehicle near 3400 Augusta Drive in Lawrence.
According to police, the 29-year-old woman was attempting to have her car towed when it rolled away and eventually trapped her underneath.
Police and medical personnel attempted lifesaving efforts on the woman. Police said the the woman's death appears to be a "tragic accident."
Her name has not been released.
