Lee's Summit School Board votes to change district's masking rules

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Lee's Summit School Board voted Thursday night to alter its masking policy.

Face masks will be optional for middle and high school students.

The mask mandate for pre-K through elementary school was extended until Dec. 21.

Board members voted down a motion to extend universal masking into January 2022 before voting 5-2 in favor of the new masking policy.
