KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Lenexa Police officer and an innocent bystander were involved in a crash caused by a fleeing suspect Thursday afternoon.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect, wanted for assaulting an officer in Lenexa, led police on a chase along Interstate 35. The crash involving the officer happened around the Interstate 635 interchange.
The suspect continued on after the crash, but was eventually taken into custody by Kansas City, Kansas, police near S. 34tth Street and Dover Street.
