KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Flooding forced the Levasy, Missouri post office to close and relocate its services to Buckner on Monday.

The Levasy office was evacuated due to flooding, so all retail and P.O. box services will be conducted from the Buckner office, the U.S. Postal Service service said in a news release. Letter carriers for Levasy will continue to deliver mail to homes and businesses where it is possible.

Those who cannot receive mail at home should visit the Buckner location with a photo ID to collect mail. The office is open weekdays 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., as well as 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays.

The Bucker office is located at 16 Washington St.

There is no timeline for when retail services will return to the Levasy office.
