KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Liberty police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred at area businesses over the past week.
Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, a man armed with a handgun attempted to rob a T-Mobile store at 118 N. Conistor Street, police said on Twitter.
The man, who was wearing a red bandana and dark hat, ran out of the store when an employee sounded an alarm.

The other robbery occurred around 8 p.m. Sunday at Dollar General on Missouri 291. In that incident, a man with an unknown handgun robbed the store, leaving with a bag of chips, police said.
It is unknown if the two robberies are related, police said. No injuries were reported in either incident.
