KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A light snow began early Sunday morning, with most areas expected to receive about an inch up to two inches.
A light snow began a about 5:00 a.m. on the west side of the city, and is expected to taper off by 9:00a.m., according to KSHB Meteorologist Nicole Phillips.
Many metro cities began treating roadways at midnight, to include Kansas City, Olathe, Overland Park, Prairie Village and more.
More than a dozen church closings were reported by 8:00 a.m.
Accidents began mounting about 8:00 as well, including a semi and another vehicle on I-435 & Quivira in Overland Park, although no serious injuries were reported.
