KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Less than two months before schools in the Kansas City area normally open, officials are meeting to map out how students might return to the classroom.
As part of that discussion, 41 Action News is hosting a virtual town hall this morning with area education leaders.
Moderated by 41 Action News reporter Rae Daniel, panelists include:
- Joe Phillips, Director of Technology, Kansas City Public Schools
- Mallory McGowin, Spokesperson, Missouri Department of Secondary Education
- Kent Reed, KS School Counseling Program Consultant
- Janet Waugh, Vice Chair, KS State Board of Education (represents District 1 - all of Leavenworth County, parts of Wyandotte County and parts of Johnson County)
Tune in tonight at 6:30 p.m. on 41 Action News and kshb.com as we continue our education discussion with area superintendents.
