KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An accounting firm wants to help people experiencing homelessness by wrapping them in warmth this winter, and it wants the community's help to do it.
MarksNelson in Kansas City, Missouri, is asking for new or handmade hats, scarves and gloves.
On Tuesday, employees hung the donations on the Christmas tree inside their lobby. When it gets closer to Christmas, the group will place the donations on trees and light posts in areas where people experiencing homelessness often go.
It's all part of the accounting firm's "Wrapped in Warmth" program.
