KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Hen House Market in the Northland is closing its doors for good.

The store posted a sign this week announcing it will be going out of business on April 16.

The store cited the "changing and challenging retail environment" as the reason for the closure.

The store also noted in a sign for customers that all of its employees will be offered positions at other locations across the metro.

There are 10 other Hen House location in the metro, but only one in the Northland. Ball Food Stores, which owns the Northland Hen House, also owns two Price Choppers as well.
