KANSAS CITY, Mo. — If you’re looking to do something romantic for your partner, take that special someone to the Old Red Bridge in south Kansas City.
The bridge in Minor Park is the home of thousands of locks placed there by couples wanting to “lock their love.”
In 1932, Harry Truman dedicated the current Old Red Bridge during the Great Depression.
The Old Red Bridge was replaced by a new Red Bridge and was repurposed to be a love locks bridge.
Since 2013, thousands of locks have been added by lovers sharing their commitment.
