KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It's not too late to make this Valentine's Day one your sweetheart will remembers. The Heart of America Chorus is still taking reservations to deliver a singing Valentine on Thursday.
Since 1991, the chorus of barbershop quartets has spread love on Valentine's Day by surprising people across Kansas City on this holiday.
"We arrive at your home, business, wherever you want us. We deliver a rose, a box of candy, a card in which you have specified the sentiment you want and generally we surprise the object of your affections with two songs and it's just a delightful experience generally," explained Jim Bagby, the director emeritus for the chorus.
A singing Valentine costs between $45 and $75. The chorus donates some of the money from the event to the speech and hearing department of Children's Mercy Hospital.
