KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Lee's Summit man was charged Thursday with involuntary manslaughter for a fatal crash that happened in May.
The crash happened on May 7 at Southwest 3rd Street and Southwest Rogers Drive in Lee's Summit.
The person in the second car involved, Sherman Thompson, passed away from his injuries on May 12.
Court documents state Tyler Selby "acted with criminal negligence" by driving 68 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone.
Selby has a history of speeding incidents with five citations in Missouri.
