A man is in custody after crashing his vehicle and then breaking into an apartment.
Around 4 a.m., a man hit another vehicle near 50th and Troost, and then crashed into a light pole.
Police told 41 Action News the man got out of his car and ran. Police said the suspect forced his way into an apartment building. As officers entered the building, he kicked open the door of an occupied apartment and forced his way inside.
Police said officers located the suspect hiding in a bedroom, and he was placed under arrest.
The crash was alcohol-related.
The man is in custody for the hit-and-run and break-in.
