KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police said one person is dead after a crash involving a scooter near 89th and Troost.
It happened around 12:45 a.m. Friday.
Police said the victim was riding a 49cc scooter when a Dodge Charger hit him from behind.
The victim died at the scene.
Though KCPD did not immediately release his name, they did identify the victim as a 57-year-old man of Kansas City, Missouri.
The driver of the Dodge Charger wasn't hurt and stopped at the scene.
Police said that driver had been cleared for alcohol and released, pending further investigation.
