KCPD investigates deadly Northland stabbing overnight

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police are investigating a homicide after a man was stabbed to death during a fight around 12:30 a.m. near Northeast 105th and Walnut streets in the Kansas City, North.

KCPD officers were called to the area on a disturbance and witnesses said two people had gotten into a fight, according to police. One of the men was stabbed during the altercation.

The stabbing victim, later identified as 38-year0old Kyle Lager, was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

KCPD said it appears the two people involved knew each other and one suspect was taken into custody. Police are not looking for anyone else involved in the incident.
